Enteralia Bioscience presents IHAT Forum, the new ECM training project on iron deficiency.
Iron deficiency is the most common nutritional deficiency worldwide, with significant implications for quality of life, physical and cognitive performance, and the clinical outcome of numerous chronic conditions.
Iron deficiency is a condition that cuts across multiple clinical fields: in gynecology and obstetrics, it is linked to menstrual irregularities, anemia during pregnancy, and potential adverse fetal outcomes; in gastroenterology, to malabsorption and occult blood loss; and in hematology, it is the leading cause of anemia. In the elderly, diagnosis is often delayed and masked by comorbidities, while nutrition plays a key role. Management requires a multidisciplinary approach involving prevention, early diagnosis, and personalized therapies.
This event aims to:
- update professionals on the latest guidelines and diagnostic and therapeutic innovations;
- facilitate dialogue among specialists from different fields;
- promote the development of integrated clinical pathways for managing patients with iron deficiency anemia (IDA);
- provide recommendations on the role and opportunities of oral martial therapies in the various clinical contexts.
